Local and affordable

access aims to use appropriate and local resources for creativity. Resources that are available, realistically affordable and manageable for the client group. As a facilitating body the scale of access's assistance in development aims to encourage initiative from the group.

Culturally sensitive

access aims not to intrude on cultures, but define their importance and strengths. Any introduced practice aims to work with the culture. access hopes to enhance traditions that are working for the community and where necessary, discuss, share and develop through creative practice those that are problematic or causing conflict.

Education

The education modules of our programmes aim to be accessible and appropriate for the group concerned. In particular where the environmental modules are concerned we will use simple language to discuss and demonstrate practical examples and solutions rather than dwelling on theory.
