Permaculture

Permaculture is about promoting sustainable lifestyles. Permaculture takes the fundamental principles of ecology... diversity — succession — micro climates — local resources — multi elements for one function, and multi functions for one element (everything works both ways) — beneficial relationships ...and asks how we can implement these into the ethics of earth care, people care and fair share. In its aim to promote sustainability, will share these basic principles and the ethics of permaculture, and demonstrate systems and practical solutions that have been successful.

Now and then

The reality of our contemporary global culture being sustainable is a blind ideology, what we need to aspire to is the understanding that we are laying foundations (physical and spiritual) and developing strategies that will enable our children's children to live in a self sustaining society in what is likely to be an environmentally unpredictable world that will be short of the resources that today we take for granted.

From within

Suggestion and encouragement are better accepted than forced change. Change must come from within a community or group. The projects aim to draw that change out and to share ideas and hopes where possible. These ideas will then be communicated by those in similar situations to those participating in the workshop.
